Bettina Aust is considered one of the most promising young German clarinetists. In March 2015 she won the prize of the German Music Competition. In 2014 she was awarded first prize and five special prizes at the International Music Competition Markneukirchen.
 
The clarinetist not only sets new standards with her solo playing but has also distinguished herself on the national and international chamber music scene with her ensembles (Duo Aust, Rheingold Trio). Concert tours have taken her most recently to London, Paris, Macedonia, Monaco, Poland and Finland, as well as to Pakistan, Algeria, Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Haiti and Bolivia.
 
Bettina Aust recently performed as a soloist with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra Münster, the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lower Rhine Symphony Orchestra, the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra Vorpommern, the Elbland Philharmonic Orchestra Saxony, the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Lausitzer Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2018 she played the world premiere of the clarinet concerto by Frank Zabel.
 
Her musical work is documented on numerous radio recordings by BR, WDR, NDR, SWR, Deutschlandradio and Deutschlandfunk. Her debut CD with Robert Aust was released in autumn 2016 in the prizewinning series of the German Music Competition at GENUIN.
 
Since 2014 Bettina Aust is playing on the position of the solo clarinet in the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra; since 2017 she is a lecturer in clarinet at the Leopold Mozart Center of the University of Augsburg. She is involved in "Rhapsody in School" for music education in schools.
 
She received her musical education from Sabine Meyer (Lübeck), Johannes Peitz (Hanover) and Pascal Moraguès (Paris). She was supported by numerous foundations and was a long-time fellow of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.
